Home Energy

Your mind, body and soul are closely connected to the place you call home. It is important that you arrange the energy flow in your house in a way that will allow the atmosphere to charge you with positive vibes, give you strength and power and fill you with calmness. Follow this advice to bring your life to balance.

Cleaning up

Start by cleaning up the space to allow the energy to circulate easily and not get trapped. Collect the clothes you haven’t worn in two years, all shoes, bags and accessories that are out of fashion or do not match your image anymore and all souvenirs to which you do not have any emotional ties. Give these things to charity or sell them on any of the new apps like Let Go or Market Place on Facebook for someone else to enjoy.

Go through papers

Next, sort through all the papers you have at home. Start with your books: collect the ones you don’t ever plan to read or read again and donate them to the local library, schools or book clubs. Your school textbooks will be a great resource for current students. Sort and shred your old bills, move to an online payment system, this will save space and help preserve natural resources. Go paperless if you can but make sure to save your documents.

Kitchen space

The kitchen is a place of art and strength, so let’s go over your stocks here. Go through and carefully look at all expiration dates, dispose of anything that has expired. Collect all the products that you are not planning to use or anything that's not expired to local pantries and community groups of those in need. Get rid of all kitchenware that has cracks, stains or breaks. Any old kitchen towels may be used for one last big cleaning and then can be disposed of.

Bathroom clarity

The bathroom is all about cleanliness and tidiness. Get rid of all bottles and containers you haven’t used for a while. Collect old towels and donate them to a homeless or pet shelter in need. Check expiration dates on all cosmetics, dispose of anything that is outdated. If you don't like the scent or look of a specific product, but don’t want it to go to waste, offer it to your friends, they may be delighted or you can donate and sell these too.

Organize

Once you are done cleaning, the next step is organization. Arrange your clothes in drawers and on hangers. Use matching containers for products in the kitchen and cosmetics in the bathroom. Place smaller things in nice boxes or trinkets where you will always be able to find them.

Let the air in

Now your home is free to embrace the positive energy, but you need to polish the grounds for that, open all the windows, let the wonderful fresh air in. Finish off with a major cleaning by wiping away all dust, cleaning the floors and wiping down all surfaces. Thoroughly vacuum any hardwood, carpets, clean mirrors and polish the tiles in the bathroom and kitchen.

Time to decorate

Try to keep surfaces clear and only keep a few of your favorite decorations on your shelves, items that bring you happy emotions. Feel the fresh energy that is now free to circulate around in your clean home. Once you are finished, display fresh flowers in a vase, bake muffins, make tea and treat yourself for the wonderful job you have done.
